Skanderborg is a fantastic area to use as a base for your angling holiday. The area is surrounded by some of Europe's best fishing lakes.

Skanderborg and Stilling lakes hold some huge shoals of fish with specimen fish amongst them.

The match stretch on Skanderborg as it is known is the most famous area to fish. Access here is easy with good parking. A short walk has you on the first pegs. All the pegs along this stretch are fishable but the further you walk the chances are nobody will have fished and you will need to make a peg through the reeds.

These days a long cast with a feeder should see you catching Bream. Be prepared to wait for the fish and pre-bait as this area is not fished as often as it used to be.

Little lake in Skanderborg is best fished in April and May when there are vast shoals of fish that come to this lake to spawn. Chest waders are a must here due to overhanging treas.

The little lake i have marked with a red X holds some large roach and pike. It may be worth exploring if the major lakes are off colour.
